We are pleased to announce that the West Virginia Mass Litigation Panel is implementing electronic filing using LexisNexis File & Serve for the Tobacco Personal Injury Litigation pending in the Ohio County Circuit Court. Effective December 11, 2009, the West Virginia Mass Litigation Panel orders that all cases in the Tobacco Personal Injury Litigation are subject to e-filing and service as outlined in the November 20, 2009 Order Designating Tobacco Litigation for Electronic Filing and Service. Electronic service has been in effect since August 31, 2009.
In order to make the transition to electronic filing as seamless as possible, we are offering training highlighting the differences between e-service and e-filing in the West Virginia Tobacco Litigation. Training for the Tobacco Litigation is mandatory for participants. The following training classes are provided free of charge for attorneys and staff members and are offered via the web.
