Starting November 24, 2009 the Levaquin mass tort litigation in the Superior Court of Atlantic County New Jersey will start electronically serving documents between the attorneys. The attorneys chose LexisNexis File & Serve as the online service to electronically serve each other. See the attached case management order proposed by signed by the Honorable Judge Carol Higbee. File & Serve is utilized in many mass tort litigations throughout New Jersey.
The attorneys and their staff have found it to be a valuable tool in these types of litigations where there are so many parties involved. Electronic service via File & Serve lowers the overall cost of the litigation realized by the reduction in the use of duplication services, fax transmissions and mail. The online service is also more efficient when it comes to managing all the documents served between the parties through its online repository which can be accessed at anytime from anywhere!
