Delaware Paralegal School takes advantage of LexisNexis File & Serve trainings

Dawn Training Centre, Inc., a school that offers paralegal training in Delaware, realizes the importance of offering LexisNexis® File & Serve training to its students.  The school administrators made the decision to work directly with File & Serve to enhance their students’ preparation for working in a law firm or legal department.  So far, the school has offered three training sessions to introduce and familiarize its students with the e-filing system.  John Spina, Director of Student Services & Student Development, will schedule more sessions as the students rotate through the program.

New Madison County, IL Asbestos Cases on File & Serve

The Madison Record recently published that there were 21 new asbestos cases filed the week of August 17-21 and 6 new cases the week of August 24-28. It is interesting to note that there have been a total over 530 new asbestos cases filed this year alone in the Third Judicial Circuit Court of Madison County, Illinois.

Many of the law firms involved in the Madison County Asbestos litigation use File & Serve to electronically file their documents directly with the court. While e-filing is not mandatory for the law firms, more and more firms are taking advantage of this because they enjoy the convenience of being able to file documents from their desktop. All the firms are using File & Serve to serve counsel in these asbestos cases. This allows law firms to have access to all their case files electronically from the web. File & Serve facilitates online document exchange and case-file access and storage for all lawyers and parties in the litigation. With the majority of these cases involving 50+ parties per case, traditional paper service would mean lots of people moving lots of paper. However, File & Serve streamlines service of documents by allowing firms to upload their documents through a password protected website and serving all parties with a few mouse clicks. File & Serve also offer free web based training classes for all their users and has 24/7 Customer Support to assist customers who have questions.

On September 24th, 2009 we will be conducting a live training in Indianapolis that is mandatory for ALL new attorney's and staff members to attend. The session runs from 9:30AM - 11:30am.
